Painted Mermaid Designs are hand drawn on primitive and fine linen by artist Brenda Ellis Sauro. She brings her whimsical style of art into her designs making her patterns fun to hook. Commissions are always welcomed. Brenda can design a pattern of your favorite pet or animal, portrait, floral, landscape or you can pick from her original designs! Kits, colorful hand-dyed wools, 6 value swatches for fine shading, primitive and fine linen, rug hooking supplies and Cushing dyes are also available.
The studio is located at the Painted Mermaid Gallery in South Paris, Maine.
Brenda teaches rug hooking in all size cuts while specializing in fine shading with a painterly approach. The studio also offers workshops on finishing your hooking projects or we can finish it for you.
Weekly hook-ins, classes and workshops are offered year round. An all day hook-in held once a month with lunch served. Check calendar for schedules of events and classes.
